Shamus takes a journey by tram and finds himself in WW2 England. During an encounter with two mysterious strangers, he makes a big mistake and is brought to book, courtesy of eagle-eyed Private Reggie McHale, who has spotted something sinister.....

btw, as there may be one or two people out there who don't remember the second world war, the answer to the inevitable question is - they are Ration Books, given to each and every citizen in order to stop unscrupulous, or paranoid persons stockpiling food and other precious commodities. Of course, things are different these days and you can save up as many tins of corned beef, or perhaps, whalebone corsets as you like. A good friend of mine, after many years living in Malaya, has amassed a warehouse full of rubber bands - well, I suppose it takes all sorts....

This song, with its new arrangement by Pete Millward, will be featured on a new album, due for release sometime in the future. To buy Shamus' acclaimed album Songs For Suicidal Lovers, go to;
