  • Locomotive made in China with Chinese engine, Chinese generator and Chinese motors. They are actually every bit as reliable as a GM locomotive.

  • Blimey, those youngsters. Our "elf and safely" factotums would go ape.

  • @amerikanz: That's not quite possible, now is it?

Agreed. The quality standard on the railway in China is quite a different ball game compare to everything else. I hope that is still true today. I used to live beside Jiaoji railway before it was fully electrified. You could hear these beasts from miles away pulling full throttle. It's quite a scene :)

  • i hope those coins are nothing stronger than nickle, or else it would risk the derailment of the train

  • The Class 52 thing with 2p pieces? I used to do it on the ramp at Reading! Not a wise thing to do in China! Loco sounds like a beast to me, Bring it on!

  • My friends and I used to do the 'squashed Coins' bit with Class 52, diesel hydraulics, in the UK. One of those friends is now a Railway police officer - arresting those who trepass on the railway. Would love to here a Chinese loco having to work hard.

  • This is a DF4C.

  • amazing video.never have i seen a chinese diesellocomotive.
