  • Does anyone know the name of the tune they're playing starting at about 8:47? I heard Pat do this live a few years back, and I think I heard it before that, but I don't remember where. I'd love to track it down; it's a great tune.

  • @jbernstein91 i think its nightwings

  • @limaktba what a lame moniker name and I'll do as I damn well please;I've listened to Pat for years and have known and played with lots of musicians over the years and to be honest some of the most drugged up fiends I've ever seen are jazz musicians.

  • @EBBadd1 you're a loser man, accusing people of being on drugs on a public forum.

  • @bruce68 I suppose it was the late Emily Remler ! She was a fan of Pat at that time, a couple of years before her death in 1990. That night, there were lots of Pat's friends not only those who had been invited to the stage, but also those who were in the audience !

  • @jbernstein91 A cover is always necessary. In concealment lies a great part of our strength. Hence we must always hide ourselves under the name of another society. --Die neusten ararbeiten des Spartacus and Philo in dem Illuminaten-Orden, 1794, p: 165

This is taken from page 491 of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. 'Coincidentally' Umberto Eco has written the introduction to the newly printed version of Alexandre's The Count of Monte Christo.

  • Does anybody know anything about Polytone Contempo G guitars, when were they amde, where and when the production stopped.

  • @bruce68 No it's not Carole Laure (from Canada/Quebec).

  • who is that lovely girl looking at Pat? She looks like Carole Laure, a french actriss

  • I love Pat's music,a super guitar player;he looks like he's on coke here to be honest,it was the drug of choice for a lot of jazz musician's in the 60's and 70's,I'm not saying I know but with how sunken his cheeks are and how skinny and frail he looks here it's possible.Everyone talks about metal music and it's an easy target but country, jazz, blues and pop have just as many drug addicts if not more but because the music is palatable to even the older generation it gets hushed.

  • it is called :portrait!

  • Does anybody know if PM still has this guitar ? I was at this show and have the audio from it.

  • @joefamily1 In 1980, Martino underwent surgery as the result of a nearly fatal brain aneurysm. The surgery left him with amnesia, leaving him, among other things, without any memory of the guitar and his musical career. With the help of friends, computers, and his old recordings, Martino made a recovery, and learned to play the guitar again.

  • @uropeanson i think you're right; he underwent his surgery in 1980 and this doesn't LOOK like 1984! this must have been some years earlier, looks like the late seventies..

  • @bechet12 A Polytone Contempo
