@calicmb25 As this is a hindu pilgrimage center.Indian Government wont spent money for cleaning it.Because they say it wont be secular.Even though 80% of people in india is hindus.Money can be given only to minorities. If any body react to it or race raise voice against it,they become extremist, non-secular very dangerous people.Even media wont come to support.Hindu temple money is under control of government(so curroption rules) . Minority religious institution wont come under govt. control

Such an amazing and beautiful people, as well as culture and religion. Please, India, save your river! At this rate the river will be full of death and blackness!!

.its a shame to see how people just bath themselves in the most polluted river in the world..all due to their very strong religious beliefs. it must be such a strong belief that they dont see the damage they are causing to their own society.-0i respect all types of religious but ..hinduism is BY FAR!!. the one religion in the world i personally have a hard time understanding.. this is one of those things.its actually contracting..b/c they worry about cleaniness but yet they do the exact opposite
This video is by far 1 of the most important documentaries of the river and people... pretty sad though
