His tackle on Raphael Clarke in the Grand Final set the precedent for Geelong that day.
Acts like that lift team mates, and there are surprisingly few who can do it.
Rooke is far more important to Geelong than the stats sheet or Brownlow vote count will ever say...

Darren Flanigan was way better.
I have a lot of respect for players who are not naturally brilliant but work hard on their game.
I love Max Rooke, Scarlett and even Chapman who took time to develop.
Rooke (and also Hunt) are not the highest rated players at Geelong, but they add that little bit of grunt to the team that for so long, we lacked.
Blake's game has hardly developed in the last year or so.
