Watch our team create a replica of the Mona Lisa using 4,000 cups of coffee. Lattes, long blacks and flat whites were used to make this masterpiece.

The sculpture was created to launch The Rocks Aroma Festival. Now in its 12th year, the Aroma Festival is Australia's biggest coffee festival with more than 100 roasters and stalls.

The Rocks Aroma Festival is proudly produced by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.

  • Geez! Lighten up, people! Can't you just enjoy and appreciate something without getting all self-righteous about it? I'm sure NONE of you negative posters EVER do anything that doesn't have a direct, positive impact on people or the environment! Hypocrites!

I'm sure they used rip-off trade coffee, canceled their time at the food bank to create it, and then made homeless black people clean it up for a hamburger! (Yep! RED MEAT!!!!)

  • @mbrock5532 why they got to be black homeless people

  • We have just done one in SA with Nelson Mandela

  • can someone send me this song? theres a torrent with it in it but no seeds

  • @phroboi My statement is one of what is, not one of what should be, your example in fact emphasizing the reality. A man will defile a poplar board with bladders of crushed pigment suspended in linseed oil and sticks dressed with the hairs of badgers if it pleases him. European museums have been filling themselves with such monuments of "waste" for centuries.

This culture you speak of has always been "current".

  • @HaoWenXiang Thanks for responding. You'd disagree with your statement of people being able to do whatever they want with their capital if I were to use my capital to inhibit or prevent the use of yours, in essence limiting your freedom. Staple goods like coffee have been transported from the third to the first world for centuries I just find the current culture surrounding it incredibly wasteful. Yes, all humans are wasteful. I do, however, reserve the right to flatter myself from time to time.

  • @phroboi Free market. People can do whatever they want with their capital. As if people who sip coffee every day don't waste as much in the form of cups, sugar packets, mixing sticks, and cream cups.

All humans are wasteful. Don't flatter yourself.

  • Man after watching this vid I want a cup of joe. And, since I'm not racist, I'll make mine black.

  • Spelling.... "P before L, except before Tea."
