I personally like most scores in the McCoy era, especially Ghost Light. The unused score should have been used, it's great.

@NewtonDKC DW wasn't cancelled because there was anything wrong with it. Michael Grade just hated it and would have tried to get rid of it no matter what decade. Anyway the 80's music isn't nearly as bad as Murray's 4-track muzak. Even nuvians hated the nu-themesong, but not only is the show still around, but Murray still works on the show. At least Keff didn't massacre the theme song, it's still the best version to date.

I think the horrible soundtrack music was one of the many reasons why Who went down the drain in the mid-late 80's - it was the most annoying, obnoxious, glaringly offensive jumble of synth sounds ever used on a tv show! Even scenes that needed no music still had the intrusive synth-twang! Argh! I find most of the 7th Doctor stories unwatchable and the "music" is one of the big reasons why. My cat could come up with better tuneage on a cheap Casio keyboard! Argh!

@GavSalkeld - from a copy of the soundtrack that Keff sold at conventions but a better quality recording can be heard on the Silver Nemesis DVD.
