Here's the unexpurgated version of The Ferodo Quickstep, with narration by David de Keyser, as sent to several motor factors and dealers in the envelope pictured during 1961. The postmark is 3rd June 1961.
I was given this copy many years ago by the proprietor of the motor dealership to which it had originally been sent because he had received two: one at each of his premises. This gentleman wishes to remain anonymous. So I've re-hashed the address to make it look as close as possible to the original without giving any private details away.
The smaller text on the left side (below the hand) reads:
'We've broken so many records that we thought it time we sent you one you could break YOURSELF! (but please - NOT until you've taken it home and played it)'
A fine piece of tongue-in-cheek humour from one of the giants of the British Motor Industry, still going strong today.
