I dont agree with that . I know alex personally and believe me the only person that she emulates is her mother melissa bell who is classed as one of britains top session and lead vocalists

I think she tries too hard though. She tries to sound like somebody else. Which ruins the song.

there are no vocal similarities between alex and leona imo the only link is that they lived 1 and half miles from each other, they attended the same youth club and their fathers are both of carribbean extract oh and of course they are good friends and speak regularly on the phone

i think really the point is that we have all these female artists who are still very much around
i mean, i know westlife/boyzone/take that are or whatever but they're kinda like ...manbands
rather than boybands
whereas leona, mariah, whitney, beyonce and now alex, they're all still big players in the music industry
i like alex though, she wasn't my favourite and i did want JLS to win, but she's a deserving winner with an incredible voice. and tbh, JLS are gonna be big stars anyway so yeah!

Alexandra is amazing. She isnt trying to sound like leona becuase that is how her voice naturally sounds! She deffinetly should have won :)

Why do ppl keep comparing Alexandra to Leona? If you listen properly their voices are completely different. the only thing they really have in common is they're both female artists. If ppl keep saying we dont need another leona then we may as well say we didnt need another Boyzone, Westlife or Take That!!
