Derek and Casey's relationship has always been a bumpy one, with all the fighting and what not. Take a look at what may have happened if they were dating while Caseys romance with Sam occurred as well as Dereks "date" with Emily.
Cheating on eachother is bound to stir up even more fights.
Memories are in greyscale and sepia. Greyscale is telling a lot of the story at hand, so pay attention to them. Present is color.
Notes:
Basically the part where Casey says "we have to fix this dont we" means they need to set their differences aside with Sam and Emily. (Dereks nudge and Caseys hug with Emily are how they "make up")
I hope this isnt too confusing lol. Hopefully you can get an idea by just watching it
