Think you can walk from one side of the room to the other? Think again ;)
Some wonderfully simple yet mind-bending philosophy.

*Please note: It says in the video that this paradox is described by Aristotle, not that it is his paradox. It is one of Zeno's paradoxes described in Aristotle's Physics. However, I did intend to mention Zeno in the video but did not recall to in this take ;)

  • Women...

  • this dumb lol... following your "theory" if you keep dividing then you will never reach 0 only a veeeeeery small number but that small distance would be over a veeeeeeery small amount of time so the speed is still the same.

shouldn't you be makin a sandwich for someone?

  • No, they're not born smarter, they tend to be equally smart around the age of 16, and then the men tend to become smarter little by little.

I was just trolling though, and having a laugh.

It's been proven that men on average have a higher IQ than women, but not by much.

  • Heres a better paradox. If i asked if you I were smarter than you, would the answer to that question be the same as the answer to this question?

  • You all are missing the point. Take the experiment off the earth. Vast infinite nothingness of space. Does the arrow move now? If it does, then the universe simply ends. Of course we know this since the universe "doubles" in size.... So what's outside this finite universe?

  • The sum of (1/2)^n with n=1 to infinity, is 1. The total distance is finite, and so it the time it takes to traverse the distance, so you can traverse an infinite number of space divisions in finite time. Math is replete with such examples, like a figure that has infinite length, but finite area (approximations of such are used as cell phone antennas).

  • Lol, do you seriously believe men are universally born smarter than women? That's retarded, bro.

  • well said :)

  • Just imagine yourself as the arrow, and the kitchen as the target..no paradox, yes sandwiches..

  • ...Why couldn't the arrow reach the half point?

  • While women sit and think about this, men are out shooting arrows and bringing home dinner.

  • the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point to the half way point.........................
