@TheMichiganterry Did not know that the software does not work on the Mac. I think you are responding to Residentaid's comment about the soft focus. It is possible that it has more to do with the subject than the camera. But overall I am happy with the camera.

@Residentaid Yes, it seems it does. However, this is not under controlled conditions and the subject, lighting, wind and other factors might have contributed to the softness, esp. at such a high zoom. But like you said, overall it is a great camera at its price point.

I love this camera. I got it for Christmas and it's worked out great. I have a macbook pro so I had to find a work-around for the included software which doesn't work with mac, but other than that it's great. The auto-focus when you zoom in like that does get a little flakey, but in your example it was on the leaves, so the apples weren't focused. Nothing to do with the camera... there is a manual focus on there but it doesn't work very well.

hi, how did you uploaded your HD without changing the quality. I tried to upload mine using the software, but it changed the quality and it sucks... can you help me please? thanks!

@altheaviance There is a Settings button at the bottom of the screen when you upload to Youtube from the Everio MediaBrowser software which lets you specify the resolution. I usually select 1280X720 for the resolution before uploading. Hope that helps.

Do you think that this camcorder can capture planes taking off and landing clearly as i intend to like spotting in airports and can it record in 16:9 also can does this camcorder have wind cancellation?

@Zishan197 If you use a tripod, you will get a picture that you will find decent for most purposes. It does record in 16:9 and has wind nose cancellation.
