  • You couldn't be more off the mark if you were flying out in space. This guy is doing what he's doing because he cares and he's digging around in the muck to find out what is really going on. I would also say that your language and observations are profane.. and you more than likely are full of BS.

  • This is a bunch of bull. The Federal gov spends more on railroad worker retirement benefits than it does on NASA. They generate most of their own operating costs by selling patents--like those memory foam mattresses.

Money spent on NASA directly and powerfully contributes to America's technological and engineering quality. 6 billion a year for NASA is a steal.

  • Grayson is a showboating hatchet man without a trace of class or decorum.

  • I really like Grayson, and I do think his heart is in the right place here, but I have to disagree with him. When it comes to science and technology(be it medical, space travel, etc), we can't afford to pinch pennies. If we want to develop new tech, Congress needs to stay out of the way, and let us spend as much money and time on it as necessary. Otherwise, we end up with second-rate garbage.

  • nasa is a coverup! to the secret space prog!! ;)

  • In 1959 Emilio Gino Segrè and Owen Chamberlain were awarded a nobel prize for the discovery of the antiproton, today were are able to create these particles through the use of large colliders, in 100 years or so (if we don't destroy ourselves first) we may even have an antimatter reactor. Lesson? The time between scientific discovery and scientific applicability can be a great deal of time. Does that mean we shouldn't fund things and give up? Congress = not good science funding decisions

  • Congress doesn't have a really great track record when it comes to funding scientific projects. So looking to congress for "guidance" is not exactly a smart idea. We all know how fond government is to kill scientific projects when there are not results or when the results produced don't have any immediate value.

  • Grayson's role is to ask tough questions, not to look like a nice guy. He did that here and I think the NASA exec. handled it well. Though next time he comes to Congress he will bring his those figures with him you can bet. And well he should.

  • exposing, inside out
