Leander over Shap

Jubilee Leander on a round trip, Crewe to Carlisle and return on Saturday 2nd September 2006. Weather conditions could not have been much worse with heavy rain most of the day.

Those people had previously asked me if they would be in my way standing there. I thought that a group standing waving at the passing train would not deter from the last few seconds of my clip, in fact may well add that little difference.

Like your vid I wish we could have steam in the rain once in a while, but rainy days are few and far between here down under.

Gosh, leander sure is going fast. I reckon it could give our local class 360's a run for their money. And it sounds better too.

Thanks Andrei, some of those people who are in the first shot at Acton Bridge are also there in the last one at Hartford. They are at either station for every steam hauled train through and for light engine movements as well, ans as you do not bother with anything else.
