  • whats the actuall light called

  • @adenfranks huh? it's a nightlight.....it's a lighbox for tracing for animation purposes...its a low-power softbox for those dimly lit live action scenes in extreme darkness.....it's incandescent....

  • Seems like a smart and efficient way to make a light box. but there is a bit of a problem. When transferring sketches into lineart, you need to, well, apply pressure.

a simple piece of glass you work fine, but I thought I'd bring it up.

  • @Newbonzy for that you can just add a plexiglass sheet over it. plexiglass is cool also because the it maintains a very high static charge which will keep your paper on it and in position very nicely :)

  • hye.. is it usefull for silk screen printing? is the light box helps to burn a picture?????

  • ummm.....i really have no idea what silk screen printing is, but i don't think it would help you burn a picture......

  • @gilkwad AH, that helps, thanks.

  • yes it helps

  • @checkabreak lol

  • I did something similar. I got one of those thick tops from a kinkos paper box. Cut a big square out of it, but left enough to keep it strong. I got a big thick flat piece of plastic from on old toy and taped it over the square with shipping tape. Put a bright toy light under it. It worked fantastic . . . I wonder where I put the thing . . .

This depends on your light source, you need a light within the UV spectrum. Halogen or metal halide lights work well.
