Have you figured out all the problems with your M1009, if you still haven't got the gen 1 light to come on then most likely the bulb is burned out, you have to have the bulb working or it will not allow the generator to charge the battery, it's the way the military wanted it, that away the inspection on each vehicle was done and to let them know that there is a problem that needs addressed, in away it's kinda stupid that a little bulb can cause such a big problem

another thing you'll probably want to do if it hasn't already been done is convert to a 12 volt system from the standard military 24. Most of the systems are 12v anyway, and this will free up space under the hood, simplify the wiring, and eliminate the need to source expensive and hard to find 24v starters, not to mention make it possible for another vehicle to jump you off if need be.

ill agree about the first green wire thats near the fuel pump, but the second green wire next to the glow plugs is also unplugged in my 86 6.2 suburban (non military) & my oil pressure gage works. my engine temp dont work tho but i know that sensor is plugged into the rad.
Yea I joined the site shortly after making this video. Thanks for the response!

first green wire is for the high idle solenoid, and the 2nd green wire is for the oil pressure light which i have since replaced.
