he's not trying to become rich, he wants his music to reach out to people. he'd probably rather donate the money he could be making to one of the various causes he supports.

to him, everything is about the music, he's said at shows before, if you don't own an unreleased song he plays, then download it for free. he just wants his music to be heard.
