Arabia is the name of the country to the west and south of Mesopotamia
There are three main zones can be discerned in Arabia :

1- the towns in the regions bordering on the Indian Ocean (modern Yemen and Oman)
2- the nomadic interior (modern day Saudi Arabia ,south syria, south Iraq )
3-the northwestern part ( modern Jordan )

The Latin names of these three zones are:
1- Arabia Felix, (Happy or fortunate Arabia)
2- Arabia Deserta (Desert Arabia)
3-Arabia Petraea (stoney Arabia ).

in this video we'll see scenes for some cultures and civilizations in the part called " Arabia Felix"
.
the other two arabian zones,
Arabia Desserta and Arabia Petraea will be presented in the other parts.

kingdoms and cultures of the south of Arabian peninsula wil be presented in this video ,this area used to be called Arabia Felix "now yemen and Oman,"

The history of "Arabia Felix" is especially important because it'is one of the oldest centers of civilization in the Near East. Its was recognized by some ancient Greek geographers like Ptolemy, who described "Yemen" as Eudaimon Arabia ,(better known in its Latin translation, Arabia Felix) meaning "fortunate Arabia" or Happy Arabia.

Between the 12th century BC and the 6th century AD,it was dominated by six successive civilizations which rivaled each other, or were allied with each other and controlled the lucrative spice trade:
M'ain, Qataban, Hadhramaut, Awsan, Saba and Himyarite.

not much was known about the ancient history of the pre-islamic Arabia untill about 50 years ago when
a series of excavation works began in the area.

  • :) Hello in your channel

  • Look, i don't see the point in arguing over her skin color. Yes, the damn picture is historically inaccurate regardless if she was from Yemen or a Black African. If anyone knows the history of Saba and the Axum empire she could have easily ranged in color from a very light brown to a very dark complexion. But she definitely wasn't White as snow with no tan like it was presented in this video. That's B.S. Even today, most Arabs I see are brown!

  • @Arabsys

Thanks. However, I will have to disagree with the statement that Yemen ruled a big part of africa--it only ruled what is now understood to be modern Ethiopia and Eritrea. Also, a part of the Sudan.

  • @everagej the archeological research found that it was in Yemen, and Yemen was ruling a big part of Arabia and Africa

  • @arabiannight100

Well, I always learned that the Queen of Sheba was from Nubia/Kush. So, what's really going on? Were there two Shebas? This is the great debate. You even have African royalty claiming Sheba who was part of the matriarchal royal lines homebase in Nubia/Kush. Her empire expanded into Saudi Arabia. So, you have two camps on this debate. It won't end.
