@yeutinhbongtoi well it really depends on the size of the cage, i would say maybe like, about 6 or 7 per 6 inches. but im not totally sure. i dont actually use the homemade bedding

I love your cage idea. Instead of buying or making a cage I'm going to use a kiddie pool like you. But do they jump?

@Javier32101 Thank you! and i'm not sure about most guinea pigs, but mine never jumped. And the only problem with having the pool is that, it's hard to figure out how to put their water bottle in. :/ But, anyways if you are worried about them jumping out, use some wire grids to make a little fence around the inside. :)

What kind of pellets do you have in there? I use pine equine pellet in my ferrets litter boxes only, (they live loose in my office and use litter boxes), and I was told by the ferret shelter that these pellets were great for ferrets. I wonder if they would be okay for guinea pigs. They are very cheap and come in big bags at the feed store.

@Time4GuineaPigz you could poke a hole in the side of the pool big enough for the spout metal part thingy to go through and up alittle higher make two smaller holes that you could feed string through and tie it around the water bottle hope that helps :)
