Crystal Aikin, winner of Black Entertainment Televisions Sunday Best competion is gearing up for her forthcoming Zomba Gospel release. The self-titled Crystal Aikin will be in stores January 13, 2009.
The debut is produced by PAJAM (J Moss, 21:03, Dorinda Clark-Cole), Dre & Vidal (Alicia Keys, Usher) and Asaph A. Ward (Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kim Burrell), with a special guest appearance by CCM recording artist Natalie Grant. The CD is a unique combination of Contemporary Gospel sprinkled with a little Jazz and Rock.
The first single, I Desire More, is produced by Asaph A. Ward. A powerful ballad that urges a complete surrender to God, Aikin passionately sings: Here I am on bended knees, with outstretched arms, crying Lord, not my will but your will; less of me and more of you.

I Was Stting In Church Tonight and It Seemed as If Everyone was Sitting Around Me But No One Next To Me... As Service Began... This Young Lady Came In and Asked Me If She Could Sit Next To Me, and Of Coarse I Said Sure... As We Began To Fellowship with My Pastor Ricky G. Rush I Noticed That Kindred Spirit So I Asked Her Name to Put In My Notes for The Lesson. She Said Crystal, and Who are You Cause You Just Look somebody, Then She Told Me Who She Really Was Which Explained Why I Wrote Her Name!!

I'm not familiar with Crystal Aikin but she seems like a beautiful woman inside and out :) And what a voice! I love when people sing for Jesus...
