I got some BAQ henna too from the same site and really like the result. Much better than the one i got from Whole Food. It's a really helpful site as well. It's really hard to put henna on the back. It's easier if you ask someone to help you. I ended up having my boyfriend put it on for me

Indigo + henna = brown. Henna only followed by indigo only = black. Mixing the two would be brown, though, yes. :)

I bought a dye labeled "Black" that contains both henna and indigo in one powder. So you think this won't work? I don't want to test it because I don't want to spend hours and get a brown result when I want black.

It might go brown and if you did an indigo over the top it would for sure go black. It would be a deep brown though, if indigo content is high. Can't hurt to try, just know you may need to go over the top with more indigo on its own.

Henna looks so interesting to do.. I have dark brown hair with a hint of red in the sun and its down to my butt.. i was wondering how much henna i should use to get you color?

The henna for hair website says 500 grams for waist length hair, so I would get at least that much! :)
