  • Plenty of Canton inductees played with talent. Still others had great passion. But few had so much talent and passion as Floyd Little. The only thing better than watching Floyd Little play football might be watching Floyd Little's induction speech into the Hall of Fame. That's one speech that will come from the heart. Thank you, Floyd. Keep running to daylight.

  • It's about time! A true Bronco hero!!

  • @AllPro777 I'm with you. Tommy is a good example of that sort of thinking, comparing Floyd's impact and results to those of Willie Parker, when there is no way to make such an evaluation. The era's were so different, and Parker never played on a team where he was almost literally all the offense, the way Floyd did his entire career. I'd love to see Davis there, and my memories of him running with the ball are HUGE. What a tragedy, damn near like Sayers. Cheers, friend.

Great post. But peers think a lot of guys are worthy that we don't. Bygone era players are hard to measure against today's standards, so to me you have to look at the field they played against when they retired like you pointed out. Personally, I feel like Terrell Davis should be in if Floyd is in, since no one can argue against the success Davis had or the importance he had to the Broncos becoming back-to-back World Champions. The only thing that stopped Davis was injuries.

  • I agree with Ken (Tommy must be another Broncos hater - probably a Dallas or Oakland fan). Floyd was among the best at his position when he played, he is often rated in the top ten on the NFL channel among running backs, he led Professional Football in rushing from 1968 to 1973 and retired as the 7th leading rusher in Professional Football history, need more? He led the NFL in rushing in 1971 and was an NFL-AFL pro-bowler in 70, 71 and 73. He is, and was, a heck of man on and off the field!
