  • I just read the article over at guru3d, and I have to admit a part of me want a similar setup just because of the sheer amount of numbercrunching power involved.

I know I'll probably never ever need that kind of horsepower, but it's a nice thought.

BTW, congrats on the record :)

  • Does anyone here knows the name of music? It's quite nice

  • Using the SR-2 for gameservers would be a deadly weapon. Overclocked to like 3.8 or even 4.0, it would be unbeatable.

  • Looks like graphic cards will freez to death. You shold protect them with blankets :P

  • @kalimul Well I cant afford the 2 XEONs and the 4 GTX 480 but I can build a less powerful system which will be A HELL LOT MORE powerful than like 98% if not 99% of the systems worldwide... CPU wise.. Talking in general here.. Exceptions are always probable here... ;)

  • @kalimul Its not that difficult actually... I know the SR-2 is expensive.. But piece by piece you can have you system in a 6months period... Slap 1 or 2 Nvidias or 1-2 ATIs, 8-12GB DDR-3 2000mhz and you are set to go... Like I said.. Piece by piece... Think about... I sure do, because I will order the SR-2... 24 threads? NOW THATS FUTURE PROOF in my book!! Nothing is impossible.. :)
