At maximum, he worked 190 hours in the year (if every holiday is a Sunday or vacation day). At minimum, he worked 99 hours (if every holiday is a work day). Since he gets paid $1 for every 24 hours, this means he gets paid $0.04 per hour. As such, he gets paid somewhere between $3.96 and $7.60, depending on the holidays.

it goes to show that every single people making comments trying to figure this out on their own has no sense of humor whatsoever.

it's pretty bad when people are trying to make sure that someone on a movie from about 70 years ago is getting payed right.

It is a joke, what is with all these maximum and minimum pay calculations? to begin with, he is supposed to get $1/day of 24 hours, not $0.33/day

He didn't work for 14 days on vacation, 13 days on holiday, and 52 days on sundays, so 365-14-13-52=286 days of work.
He works 8 hours a day, minus 1 for lunch break, 7 hours a day. This is 42 hours per 7 days (a week) because he doesn't work on sundays. 42 hours per 7 days -7/2 (half time on saturdays) is 38.5 per 7 days, or 5.5 hours per day on average. 5.5 hours per day is about .22916 of the day. .22916*286 is $65.5, so he should get 65.5.,

thing is, theyre taking away entire 24 hour periods off of the original 121 dollars, per every 8 hour period he got off, so hes taking off three times the 121 that he should have after that.
