Oh that looks so good. I'm garbage at baking pies so I was going to just buy them but the flipside problem is to get a decent quality pie most place just have the crazy giant ones.
How did it taste? Did the cake work with the pie? I noticed your apple pie was pretty much dead on to the side of your cake pan. Would you make it again?

@Tarpo I don't really know about the storebought pie option because I only eat pie a few times a year at holidays... and then my mom does 'em from scratch. Both pies fit right up to the edge of the cake pans, it was kind of tricky to fill in the cake around them.
It tasted amazing! But really dense... we had a ton of people over and we barely made it through half the cake. Make it again? Probably not... unless I wanted to feed a really epic number of people.
