On September 9, 2009, after a nearly 22-year wait, digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums will be released, a press release has confirmed. Each album will feature the track listings and artwork as it was originally released in the U.K. and come with expanded booklets including original and newly written liner notes and rare photos. For a limited time, each of the Fab Fours 12 proper albums will be embedded with a brief documentary about its making. The re-releases will include the Beatles 12 studio albums and Magical Mystery Tour as well as Past Masters Vol. I and II, which will be packaged as one collection. All 14 discs will be available with DVDs of the documentaries in a stereo box set, and a set titled The Beatles in Mono featuring 10 discs will also be released.

  • Buy the Mono box way better

  • Yes indeed ! It does. It cost me 215 euros. It's just as good as getting the pink floyd box set and the led zeppelin one !

Buy it with closed eyes. As for me, My favourites are white album and Abbey road.

    From France with friendship.

  • very good

  • @zdan420 the mono box is cheaper and more worth it is 200 dollars and sell on amazon don't buy on ebay that is the fake one

  • @zerogravity121 you can get the mono box

  • i think i should sell the mono box on itunes so people like me

  • @zerogravity121 exactly! I don't understand why everyone seems to be so enthusiastic about this.' Higher quality' as they say.. it's nothing. Their music is not about this and any technologies can't make it better.

Imagine, these 'remasterers' even have said that Ringo sometimes made mistakes while playing drums. Okay, they corrected this but does it matter? It's so absurd when I think that someone's claiming Beatles were making mistakes. So what, really.

Are they the same Beatles I wonder..

  • Only Help and Rubber Soul were remixed by George Martin. None of the other 1987 cds were remixed. You don't have to be connected with the sessions to make a cd sound good. The remastered cds sound better than the old cds ever did. Vinyl always has and always will sound like crap.

  • @Burgley1 sir, i believe thats a tumor, id get that checked if i were you xD

  • When the Beatles back catalogue was first put on CD back in 1987 it was re-mixed by the original producer at least, probably to a DAT tape. They kept quiet the fact that they had not used noise elimination. The 2009 mixes were by people not even connected with the sessions. I like the Beach Boys re-issues because they did not remix, they lifted some of the noise out and the texture of the analogue mix is still there. The Beatles 2009 re-issue throws part of the process, the mix, in the bin.

  • Finally someone got the idea to do this! Thank God for this. I'm listening it right now, great, perfect stereo sound!
