Actually, Rev rate is created by how long your thumb is left in the ball. The less time the thumb spends in the ball, the more revolutions the ball will have, hence Jason Belmonte having the high rev rate as he does not use his thumb. People often confuse "rev rate" with "hook", while generally a higher rev rate will produce more hook down the lane, it isn't always true. Again, Belmonte puts more revolution in the back of the ball then say TJ who has more side rotation.

  • Wes could pull out any house ball from your bowling alley and get twice as many revs as the biggest cranker in your house.

  • Well, he refuses playing with only a plastic ball, so maybe he is not that good.

  • @jaycias but he also unloaded it at the bottom

  • he bent his wrist at :08 thats a big no no according to our dumb ass coach ahah

  • @20alphabet well he did quite well in the matchplay for the last plastic ball tournament

  • @scottcenter I will out rev this man any day. i know this because i have the highest rev rate in Tulsa.

  • @scottcenter i will challenge that bc i know a tweener tht throws more revs then him

  • Wes has one of the greatest approaches I have seen. He doesn't let the ball drop to the outside of his wrist like so many crankers do. He keeps it under the ball and then just turns on the release as he cups the wrist. Makes for less strain on the wrist. And a more consistent roll in my opinion.

  • People don't seem to realize how ordinary Belmonte is. He's not special simply because he doesn't put his thumb in the ball. Any dipshit can pick up any ball and give it a thousand revs with no thumb. That doesn't take any talent at all. Quite being a fucking pussy and put your thumb in the ball Belmonte. You don't like it, fuck you.l

  • He starts with a straight wrist, cups on downswing, then unloads from inside the ball going outward flicking his wrist up the back? That's what I saw. I wanna try!!!

  • @iwasadeum You don't know what you're talking about. Now be a good dog and stop barking.
