  • mnemonyxx, Jerry Douglas is playing the Dobro. He is arguably the best Dobro player in the world, and he has recorded with nearly everyone in the folk/country music scene.

  • I have been listening to Nancy Griffith fro about 13 years...and I am only 36! She is absolutely beautiful! Seen her many times and can always put her music in and get happy! Anyone just starting out..."flyer" would be my choice of cd. :)

  • I too discovered her in the 1990's had the privilege to meet her at the Bluebird Cafe before a show. It was an amazing experience. A poet's heart and soul speaking to the poet in me... I treasure that meeting and her collection of work.

  • There once was a show called American Music Shop, it ran on TNN when it had lot's of great music. The Texas Connection was a great show also...You can find some of the remnants here on You tube.

  • If there was a network of Music Across America that featured the sort of campfire harmony like this, it would be popular among those of us who don't like to watch people hunting crocodiles and snakes, or the Kardashians, or who is the next star.

  • teetakay. flyer is a great choice. I love this version, love that they show a rehearsal before hand.

  • discovered her by accident on you tube about 3 weeks ago and have been knocked out by her,not only a beutiful woman but a class act with with a voice to match.

  • I too discovered her in college in the 80's....she's been there for me during good times and bads...I would die to see her....and one day I will....She wrote Econoline just for me...I drive one ...live in Salt LAke city, and have and emotional troublesome husband...me and the kids sing that song hummin down the freeway in our ford econoline.
