Humans are dramatic. If we wanted to be entirely happy forever, we wouldn't go to war, etc. Not everyone is willing to connect to the ideal where only positive emotions exist because we are flawed in nature. Also, humans are not the only cause of negative occurances, there are randomized things at play constantly, leaving room for mishaps. If a conscious being is to take negative occurances and react in a positive way, then how can we become insightful and intellegent? Evolution requires a push

Physics defines sound as a wave. If the wave exists, the sound exists. Just because you can't hear it doesn't mean it isn't there. Everything in the world vibrates and emits waves, audible or otherwise. If the wave falls into the audible portion of the spectrum of wavelengths, I think it's pretty safe to say that a sound is there.

@ThinkingHippy Well boring maybe but fact. After years of philosophy enquiry and study its the logical conslusion. I dont think its boring either. emotion stretches to love and contentity and intelectual happiness. Negative emotions can be usefull but only if they improve positive emotion some way down the line. :P
