Panama Rag -- Carlings 1984
Hans Carling's New Cooling's Jazzmen from Sweden perform a hot number during a jazz festival in Poland in 1984. By including his youngsters playing with his very good band he introduces them to the in and outs of ensemble jazz playing. Of course a fantastic way of learning. However it looks like son Max and daughter Gunhild have already learned much more than most average adult players. It looks like a great future also for Gerd on piano. Father Hans plays a hot trumpet ans mom Aina handles the banjo. Members of Hans' band are Frans Sjostrom on soprano sax, Dymitr Markiewicz on trombone and in the rhythm group Bob Stalin piano, Rolf Karve banjo, Dick Heikenskjold on bass and Bobbi Sakowicz on drums.

I've been a lover of Dixieland jazz since the days of The Dukes of Dixieland (original band with the Assuntos) and I can't imagine how I managed to miss this wonderful family until now. BRAVO.....God, I love this. THANKS BOB......!
