@mariusdire After all, in the UK, freemasonry's birthplace the Scottish rite doesn't have any more standing the Mark degree, Chapter or Knight's Templar. It only gets passing recognition by Grand Lodge.

@wakeupsheepleread Someone doesn't know much about masonry. This is a bit of a tired old myth that people get mixed up about. In masonry there are 3 degrees, nothing is superior to the 3rd, the others are called side orders and explore different facets but that's about it. People just get confused because the Scottish rite uses more numbers, but compared to some side orders its a relative newcomer so hardly likely to be in any kind of control.

It saddens me to see so many mislead people that are afraid of something they do not understand. My great-grand father, grand father, father, and brother were/are Free Masons. My mother and I are Order of the Eastern Star. I was a Rainbow Girl. Shriner & Scottish Rites are simple a higher level or branch of this fraternity.
