Afghan women enjoy greater freedom in Nimruz - 23 Dec 08

Having previously been banned from even going to school, women in Afghanistan are enjoying greater freedoms since the fall of the Taliban.

In Nimruz province in particular, women are free to drive and there are even female police officers.

@mV33rs Please, tell me what is islam? Is it like the islam in Yemen, where girls can die giving birth or during their weding night at the hands of a brute of a husband? Or perhaps like in Saudi Arabia where women are not allowed to drive and western women who allowed to wear western clothes, are forced to wear abaya or face sexual abuse? Or perhaps it also gives women rights when they are given lashes after claiming they have been raped? I hope you understand it's hard to believe what you say.

Taliban is not equal to Islam, however, the Taliban is seen as the voice of Islam. We need to expel Pakistan from the Commonwealth over (1) Human Rights & (2) their ongoing support for the Taliban. Balochistan needs independence as do the Tajiks/Hazaras in the North. Leave Pashtunistan to the "Talib" brothers and their Pakistani paymasters, let Balochis develop Reko Diq (not Americans).
