What's funny is that SOP is a variety show there. They copy everything. The songs sung there are popular american songs. They had a high school musical day and did the same exact from the movie. It wasn't stealing because they aren't passing it off as theirs. Like Jaya and Regine Velasquez wrote the song disturbia? Get real guys. You don't even know the story. SOPboys isn't even a crew. They are just a variety show dance group.

naw man if you watch showtime wowowee or any of those filipino shows that have dancing in it, they bite everything. and they suck. but thanks to abdc, usa and its territories can only watch watch it, while toher countries can't.,

@tonictrip I say keep it up. You have done the world of dance a great service, I remeber when you 1st put this up people were warned then and they should remain WARNED. Good job looking out, In cases like this the only loser is DANCE. And if we loose all creativity we ALL may as well jump off a high rise building.

nah... until now,,.. those SOPboys are still dancing like JABBA even the latest move that JABBA has,.. SOPBoy are really copying JABBA copy right., It shows a clear crime., as what we can see now abs-cbn already taken Jabbas team but they still make their own fake jabba and they are SOpboys... wow,this thread has been goin on for 2 yrs now. it tried reading ol of 'em. at the earlier part of this thread, one of the members of sop boys said that they idolize jabba since they find them amazing thats why they copied the routine.then the choreographer said the same thing, and said they never did took credit of the steps.when people ask them,they said it was jabba's original. why is everyone making a big deal out of it? if someone is paid for singing britney's song, performing it the way..

Back then the Jabba's weren't that famous. Like you said, this was from two years back and it predates them being on America's Got Talent and America's Best Dance Crew. Meanwhile at the time, the SOP Boys were using this routine on their gigs and making money for it (as you can see, they copied every bit of the choreo). They uploaded the vids on YouTube without giving credit.
As far as your Britney example; emulation is different from imitation and the SOP boys fell on the latter.

Do you think I should delete the video since the Jabba's have already proven themselves, and because it's unfair to the SOPBoys who might be typecasted for something stupid they did 2 years ago? Or should I keep it on as an example for those who love to dance, who maybe looking upto the Jabba's -- that they may find this video and take a lesson from it: not to bite other people's routines, and give credit where it is due?
