The reason why amazing songs like this don't top charts is because to understand a song like this, you need to be able to think. You need to understand symbolism, word choice, and hidden meanings. Most people these days need to be spoon fed basic english because they are barely literate, which is why clowns like Soulja Boy are the popular ones. Tonedeff is definitely one of the best rappers ever, but no one knows it yet.

probably the best wordsmith of our time, that's why he doesn't sell platinum numbers, humans just aren't evolved enough yet to catch up with him. huge selling albums just pander to the lowest common denominator, and Tonedeff won't do that.

It took a long time for this track to grow on me, because I just couldn't relate.

Then my relationship of 8 years fell apart in my face & there was nothing I could do. During the time I spent falling apart over it, and when nobody was there for me, this song kind of helped me get through those tough times. Still hurts, but not as much as it used to.
