http://www.romereports.com The revolutions that have swept through Tunisia, Egypt, and now Libya have brought a large amount of uncertainty. Not only for the native populations but also for the foreigners and aid workers living there.
@Entropy3ko Our Blessed Lord said "Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in the heavens" "For I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." The Catholic Church is on earth for the salvation of souls and the glory of God! She is not a social service agency.
Yes.....but my point is that they are not spreading the Gospel....though they are aiding the poor. So they are basically Catholic in name only.....if even that. And there are plenty of that kind of humanitarian aid agencies already. But I wish to donate to an organisation that both aids the poor and at very least let it be known that they do it in Christ's name. CATHOLIC STATE please!
@amaqula They are not operating in a Catholic State, though, not even a 'secularized state'... but in a Islamic Region... and things are no so simple.
If you wish to aid the poor and spread the gospel, you cannot always do it with an 'In your Face' attitude.
How can a group be called "Catholic Relief Services" and have a policy that it will not hand out bibles? Any Catholic relief service must give the temporal needs of souls. However the needs of the soul do not stop at the temporal needs. The spiritual works of mercy are also required for any "Catholic Relief Services" to be thought of as truly Catholic. The temporal and the religious should not be torn apart in this way. Jesus Christ is Lord and King don't be afraid of the world! Repent CRS!
When I donate to a Catholic Charity I don't expect them to hide the fact that they do good in Christ's name. If they want to hide that......then I don't want to contribute to them because they are merely humanistic........and there are plenty of humanist charity organisations. CATHOLIC STATE please!
That's not the first time I heard missions shutdown due to the fear of the bible. If they want to read the bible it should be available and not shuned.

I am inspired to see that the deaf people are not forgotten at mark 0:18. Catholic is a truly example of social justice.
