Round Rock Fatal Police Shooting

Three Round Rock Police officers have been cleared of criminal wrong-doing in the shooting of a naked man on April 1st. Bobby Lee Williams was shot and killed as police responded to a disturbance call on Ameswood Drive at Williams's half-sister's home. Officers said Williams was violent and at one point grabbed one officer's police baton and began striking an officer.

Williamson County District Attorney John Bradley says the grand jury's ruling is clear. "These officers were justified in their use of deadly force. It was not their job to figure out if these officers could have done something different or better," he said.

Sergeant Andy McKinney was injured during the altercation with Williams. Officesr Craig Cargill and Sandra Wright were also involved in the case. The Round Rock Police Department's Internal Affairs unit will continue its own investigation to determine if the officers should face any disciplinary action.

@ElvisLives1989 really? well when i heard about everything and saw this video and found out they walked, i was 1/2 in disbelief. how wrong of them to do that!? and they still get away with it. that was my cousin and my best friend. he was a good man and was by no means any kinda person that cops should be shooting at. according to due process of law, all 4 of those cops should have gotten 20 years minimum. what can you do though?

the officers do not have a chart like a doctor when they get to a scene. they cannot take into account if he "is a nice guy" 99% of the time. they respond to the situation at hand and a grand jury of citizens who had all the facts stated clearly that they did nothing wrong. it was a bad situation from the get-go. sorry for your loss.
