This is a video that I put together of my Son PFC Andrew Nelson, who was killed in Baghdad Iraq on 12/25/06 by an IED. The song in the video was written by a friend of Andrews (Evan Hoyt)a couple of days after he learned of Andrews death. This song should be played everytime we have another Fallen Hero.

  • I stood with the Honor Guard on Christmas '07and talked to you afterwards, Mr. Nelson. I came home from Iraq on 18 November 2006. Since my medical discharge from the army I go visit Andrew every couple of weeks. Your son is my hero.

  • Thank you. We appreciate your kind words. Were you with the Military Honor Guard that came up from Kentucky, or with the St. Johns Honor Guard? Thank you again!

  • i went to basic training with andrew and served in iraq with him. i attended his memorial service in baghdad and a lot of golf 35th soldiers came all around to be there for him. i pray that God be with his family during the holidays because i can't even begin to imagine how hard it is for them during this time. i wear his memorial bracelet on my wrist to always remember my brother in arms and the sacrifice he made for me and all of the United States. thank you andrew. Sappers lead the way.
