just a change of guard. this is the second "arab spring" coined byu the west. I believe it was chomsky himself who revived the phrase "demonstration elections". Same old same old. One day the Islamic world will get its act together. The issue, which is totally bypassed here, is Islamic Governance. ANY democratic fair election would see a landslide for the party that promises shariah in ANY arab country. Lets not forget that 80years ago it was the UN MS that carved the lines, named,flagged them.

In order for the Middle Easterners to be truly free, we must first be freed from Arab-nationalism. Nasser, Saddam, Gaddafi, Assad, are examples of Arab-nationalism endorsers :)

It is also frightenning to see that this is all a macrocosm of modern UK politics, bearing in mind that the US took over from the USSR and the UK as the dominant imperialist state early on in the post WWII era.
