-EDITED OCTOBER 9TH 2009!-
As I promised! This will teach you how to install Homebrew Channel on ANY wii firmware up to 4.1. You cannot use this tutorial with a 4.2 or 4.3 Wii, use my other tutorial.
This SHOULD work, and there hasnt been a single claim about it.
---BootMii--- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
BootMii is a program that is installed in the boot2 of the Wii to prevent the Wii from executing the system menu before you power your Wii on. You can immediatly launch The Homebrew Channel from BootMii, and also make a full system backup incase you happen to brick your Wii. It is highly recommended that you install BootMii.
How to install BootMii:
Download the pack below, and place all of the contents into the root of your SD card.
Next, plug in the SD card into the front of your Wii, and open the SD Card Menu
"Load boot.elf/dol?" Should come up. Point the Wiimote to Yes and tap A. Wait for the exploit to load.
The disclaimer should come up wait for it to load, then press 1 when prompted. Check to see if you can install BootMii (can be installed.)
Go down to BootMii on the list, and click on Install as boot2.
(Install as a IOS if possible) Wait to see success and exit the HackMii installer. When your Wii reboots, the BootMii menu should come up! ;D
Controls:
Power button on Wii: Change selection
Reset Button on Wii: Select
Holding Power button: Fully shut down Wii
You may also use a Gamecube controller.
---DVDx---
DVDx is a small hidden channel that allows you to use a DVD-R to be read by the Wii Disk Drive. DOES NOT PLAY WII BACKUPS. You may also play DVD movies on your Wii but a application like WiiMC is required.
How to install DVDx:
Download the pack below, and place all of the contents into the root of your SD card.
Next, plug in the SD card into the front of your Wii, and open the SD Card Menu
"Load boot.elf/dol?" Should come up. Point the Wiimote to Yes and tap A. Wait for the exploit to load.
The disclaimer should come up wait for it to load, then press 1 when prompted. Check to see if you can install BootMii (can be installed.)
Go down to DVDx, and select it. Select "Yes,install" Wait for it to say Success. You now have DVDx installed.
---The Homebrew Channel---
Made by the famous Team Twiizers, The Homebrew Channel is the main thing of Homebrew on the Wii. It will run .dol files that are homebrew apps. When it comes to games and serious Wii hacking, the Homebrew Channel does it all.
How to install the Homebrew Channel:
1. Download the Wii Homebrew Pack
2. Open it and extract the 2 files into the root of your SD Card (Then, delete or move any other files but the 2 you extracted)
3. Go to Wii Options, Wii Settings, Press +, Go to WiiConnect24, click WiiConnect24 again, Then choose OFF!
4. Exit Wii settings then go into the SD Card menu
5. "Load boot.dol/elf?" will show up, press Yes and let it load
6. Wait for the scam notice to finish then press 1 button
7. Ensure it says the homebrew channel can be installed, then click ok, then go up to Install The Homebrew Channel
8. Click Yes, Continue
9. Wait for it to say success then exit the Hackmii Installer.
10. Homebrew Channel will then load and ask you to UPDATE! CLICK YES!

@alisterfletcherluvr BootMii is controlled only using the Power and Reset buttons on your Wii console. Power is to move, and reset is to select.
