  • i noticed your making 223's, what is the going cost of a press and die set to make 223 bullets? i'm already a reloader, and have a rock crusher, but would love to have a corbin!. thanks.

  • algunjunkie@ i saw the posts below, but what do you think of the accuracy? have you noticed any oddities in the 22 jackets that could cause poor accuracy?

  • Most of the imperfections on the case that will cause poor accuracy is where the firing pin strikes are at. So are so deep that they just will not swage out and leaves a dibit. Even then I still get around a 1 inch group. Most of the inaccuracy is from debris in the case from improper cleaning on the inside, once the core is swaged in place it is off centered a little bit throwing the balance off. In swaging, cleanliness is mandatory not a suggestion.

  • There are several companies that make the dies that fit the Rock Crusher presses.

The Corbins will set you back a pretty penny but if you can afford it I would suggest it. I love mine, Since it well put together it make some very accurate ammo as well.

  • Assuming the same .22 brass was used and everything was kept as consistent as possible can I expect the same accuracy of factory match grade bullets?

  • I have been able to get 1/2 minute out of a hunting with rimfire jackets. Using the same techniques and only changing the jacket a friend of mine put 4 into the hole, the 5th shot opened the group to .3. He did call it as a flyer.

  • So could you make steel core ammo?

  • Really nice set of videos. Any chance you could add close up pics to the end of the video?

  • any chance you would sell some?

     Don

  • Can you please post close up video of the finished jacket forming, core, and finished bullet from each stage. Those .22 calibers are hard to see!

  • i went to the pdx gunshow the other day, and asked around to see if i could find some of those rock crusher dies, and nobody knew it was even possible. some even thought i was nutz. go figure. must be new technology to those old reloaders. nobody even knew what corbin was and most of them are old timer reloaders who have been reloading every cal there is.
