Nice Mercury Vapor light, but I hate the fixture. The bulb can stay, but the fixture has to go. It causes too much glare and light trespass. My neighbor used to have one, and the light could be seen for miles until he added what is called a Hubbell Skycap to it. The skycap blocks the sideways and uplight so that the light is pointed down where it belongs. It's a great full cut-off fixture to replace the original fixture.

Interesting to see how these light bulbs work. I love that coulour and where did you film this bulb? I see it was outside with the dogs barking in the background. Great video

Yes, these fixtures are the worst light fixtures when it comes to light pollution, and I would also go over to metal halide or sodium with the Hubbell Skycap, so it can be more efficient with less pollution.

I also like the greenish-blue color, even if it makes people look pale, but this was at some house that I recorded from a bridge a few blocks away from my house.
