Clutch, like most good artists are very hard to keep track of. Imports and unreleased stuffs. Clutch has tons of rare songs out there. I'm like 3 or 4 CD's behind now lol. TY goatboy.

@Goatboy73 You can't be a Uber fan and not have Jam Room...lol.

clutch is the only band that can cover the're own songs!

@SymbioteIII A lot of people cover blues standards without obvious nods the the original; and I don't say that in a cynical sense.
Give the original another spin, its definitely the same vocal hook, but Clutch totally made it their own on this track.

@bews522a I don't see the similarity in songs. Just the name. Sleestak Lightning is a reworking of The Drifter by Clutch--different lyrics.
Only Clutch can make music about fictional monsters from an old TV show sound so great. Fantastic band, and song.
Also, the first bit of this song, lyric-wise, is a rehash of "I Send Pictures" from the second Jam Room release.

I had no idea about the lyrics reworking, my Jam Room came on a white-label CD with no artwork courtesy of River Road. Never heard "I Send Pictures", wasn't on my copy!

this is not the same song the lyrics are differant...or well some of them. They did this on Pure Rock Fury and Jam Room with a song called sink 'em low or sinkemlow as it apears on pure rock. As is the case this time its a reworked song differant sound and differant lyrics. Amazing how they can do that and make both sound fantastic.

Man, I had no idea there was a reworked "Sinkemlow" either. And here was me thinking I was Uber-fan! I'll have t get the other version of Jam Room to hear them. Cheers for the info.
