Kamran Miah - Presentation Evening introduction

On behalf of Mr Tomes, staff and students, it's my privilege as elected head boy to welcome you to the Wyvern College Presentation Evening. I would also like to extend a special welcome to our guest of honour, Ben Honey. My first job this evening is to tell you what to do if the fire bell rings. There are two fire exits at the rear of the hall and one at the front. Please leave calmly and quickly -- through one of these exits -- should you hear the fire bell ring.

What makes a school great are not the buildings or the technology.
But it's the staff and the students. They are what make the school great.
I'd like to thank all the staff here at Wyvern - for everything they do for us - week in, week out.
Tonight we'll get the chance to look back at the past year, and recognise the achievements made by our students.
Wyvern isn't the sort of place that likes to be at a standstill, we will exceed expectations, we will keep on improving, and we are not going to stop.

Keep an eye on the school and you'll see us constantly improve. Even if there are problems in our way, you'll see us solve them. We will not complain, but just work harder.

Wyvern has taught me that the key is to be ambitious - Think big - Have big dreams. Don't let limitations restrict you. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it.




We've all got great potential, but it's only once you start facing challenges that you begin to discover this potential in you

It's like weight lifting -- the heavier you lift -- the stronger your muscles get. The bigger the challenges you face -- the stronger you become as a person

I am proud to be a student at Wyvern College.
