  • I agree completely about the confusion, but I just don't have a good answer. My trusty assistants (the kids) are a bit stricter than myself when it comes to pronouncing OR writing "the name," and I'm reluctant to overrule on this point given that they are volunteers. I should be posting a new video this week (thanks to school vacations), and I'll see about at least putting in an explanatory note. Thanks for calling attention to the issue.

  • Thanks for posting this! It's a great idea to post the translations, too. To the point in the previous comment, the pronouncing of "the name" as is done here is perfectly acceptable (preferred by many) when not in actual prayer. Perhaps just a short explanation (one sentence) in writing prior will suffice for those who are not aware of the respectful nature of the change of pronunciation/writing.

  • I think you're doing people who don't know better a disservice by pronouncing AND transcribing that "adoshem" business. People might think that's actually how it goes.
