@cyberwaffles hahah 2 years have passed eh... well yes not on the horizontal side but tune it by holding the guitar vertically so that gravity doesnt pull the strings down in their vibration axis which reduces the lenght of the vibration,,i still am amazed by the stupidity of most people who tune them like this even some who consider themselves pros

@Grenendel i know this is a 2 year old comment, but are you saying we should tune/intonate our guitars while it's on it's side?
-
@IbanezV70CE wow, that's a coincidence, my B string is off too on my electric.
-
great tutorial. a long time ago i was so naive and kept wondering why my tone was off even if i tuned my guitar perfectly. my open notes on B string were fine, but it sounded abysmal when i got around the 12th fret. i think a big problem with a lot of guitarists' tone is the intonation.

My B string is very flat and no matter how much I adjust it remains flat. I've even exaggerated the movement foreward of the b string's bridge and it still sounds like crap. What do I do?
-
works fine, thank you!

One thing he didn't mention was to do this with new strings. If a string is worn or stretched more than the others it won't intonate correctly.

what if your saddle is one the end of your bridge but it's still the 12th fret is still sharp??

2 hours, 1 broken string and a lot of annoyance later...i've finally got it fixed :D

THANKYOU SO MUCH
you must not tune your guitar when it's horizontaly because the gravity makes the strings vibrate towards the magnets which gives false readings
