The American people have rejected the President's failed policies in Iraq and his war without end. The situation on the ground in Iraq is worsening, and the Iraqi government has failed to meet the benchmarks set in law. The American people want Congress to bring our troops home, refocus our efforts to fighting terrorism, and hold the Bush Administration accountable.
I admire Tom for his public service, but whether you like the war in Iraq is irrelevant when considering that we're winning. America will soon have a democratic ally in the most hostile regions in the world. A country who once slaughtered hundreds of thousands of there own people and even tried to assassinate our president, is now a cooperating ally in the global economy and in the war on terror. PS: Fact check--Al Queda did exist in Iraq before 9/11, they just weren't as populated.
