@legionofcrazies He's never said anything, although the BOOM! publicity department has. Plus, Barker doesn't even own the films, so why is it up to him? Barker also wrote for the EPIC comic series. The novel was made as the first film, they can't both be 'canon'. All this is because there is no canon. Nothing can and cannot be 'canon' because it doesn't exist.
