  • wow! really enjoy it , thought it was a lost art till my grandson introduce me to this. Really have a marvelous time watching and listening to it - going down memory lane.

  • @anne118chu Hi: it is still not a lost art - in Swatou (in China, a city of the Teochews), every morning there is a Teochew opera telecast on Swatou TV2. And you can hear Teochew Opera in some of the shops. I wonder too how long this high-art can last ?

  • Furthermore, thank to Chinese YT suscribers who spend so many hours of their time to upload Chinese opera excerpts, we can discover, appreciate, enjoy watching and listening. And for Chinese Opera fans who live in Western countries, these suscribers can help us to buy DVD(s), VCD(s) and CD(s) of Chinese operas.

YT is an excellent show window for preserving and promoting Chinese operas, music and songs

  • Hello OFS

Thank you very much for sharing. Mr Tan Kok Lye, laosheng 陈国来, has a very good voice.

I sincerely think Chinese Opera(s) won't ever disappear, more and more everywhere in the world, people, foreigners or Chinese, young or aged, get to know this unique and wonderful art. And YT is a very good way, among others, to show to everybody how we have to keep it alive.
