1979 General Motors laserdisc "Basics of Selling I"

This is another car dealer laserdisc, found on the unused side of a copy of the DiscoVision release "Smoking: How to Stop". There are a couple places where the laser sticks and skips, but this was the best I could get it to play. This was in a non-standard format code so I had to play it on an older player, later ones will refuse to play it.

First part is called "How to Prospect" which is just a laugh riot (appears to have been shot on video, then transferred to film), the 2nd part is "Greeting Your Prospects" which has a few more playback glitches.

The theme music for this was also used as the theme to the porno movie "Amanda by Night"- though I haven't seen it, it appeared on the "Sex-O-Rama" CD.

Bad replication quality was, of course, the likely cause of the instances of laser lock and massive dropouts we see here.

That may have been why this particular disc half was rejected and used as a dead side.
