Did you figure this out, or did Akira break it down in the DVD?

@connersaltzer I figured this out. Akira plays it on the dvd but there is no break down of the groove. He has an older video where he plays examples of left foot clave grooves if you are interested in that but I think it is only out on VHS. It might be on you tube if you look around. There are no real breakdowns of the grooves though you will have to put the work into figure them out on your own, but watching him play them slow will hmake it easier.

Double thumbs up, you make this very much easier to learn than it seems like it should be. This has really given me something to sink my teeth into. More complicated beats please :D

Great groove and a great job explaining it! One thing I would like to add and you probably know this already, but in guaguanco, the clave is rumba clave, not son clave. Try that variation. Thanks for the printout also!! I will have to get to spend some time in the shed to get that one together!
